Sonance Foundation Scholarship Program

The Sonance Foundation is proud to award annual scholarships to graduating seniors from local high schools. Awards are given out based on a mix of factors: academic achievement, extra-curricular participation, volunteer work, and financial need. We strongly believe that we can help Make the World a Better Place, by investing in education. Good luck to all applicants
and this year’s graduating class!

Boys and Girls Club

The Boys and Girls Clubs of America have a long history of providing programing that helps to enable our youth to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The Sonance Foundation supports our local Boys and Girls Club by giving donations, providing leadership on the Board of Directors, giving in-kind donations, and volunteering.

Special Projects

The Boys and Girls Club of Bisbee, Arizona supports up to 200 children for summer and after school programs. Their club membership has been growing, leaving the club improperly equipped to provide transportation for many of the children. Unfortunately, many of the kids of Bisbee, some as young as 5 years old, would be expected to walk the route from their schools to their Boys and Girls Club. Upon hearing this, Byron Roth, friend and colleague of Sonance founder Scott Struthers, decided to reach out to Scott to work together to help provide a safer way to get the kids from school to their local club.

Scott and Byron turned to the Sonance Foundation to help organize resources for a solution. With generous donations from Rainbow Sandals Foundation, Scott Struthers, Ketterman Ranch, and with the help of Byron Roth and STRUT President Tommy Gaut, the Sonance Foundation was able to source two 12 passenger vans to solve this need.

These vans will allow the club to provide safe and reliable transportation for children attending the club’s summer and after school programs. The Boys and Girls Club of Bisbee’s Chief Professional Officer, Annette Flores, and Club President Chief, Albert Echave, believe that all children within their community should have access to the Club’s resources and that these vans will help enable them to make that possible. The Boys and Girls Club of Bisbee is doing wonderful things within their community and the Sonance Foundation is thrilled and thankful to be able to contribute.
